GVMS – Goods Vehicle Movement Service

Impact
This is NOT a GVMS outage but this as an advisory that the Disaster Recovery exercise might affect CHIEF declarations validations via GVMS

Due to a scheduled disaster recovery exercise on the CHIEF (Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight), you may be unable to enter or validate CHIEF declarations to get a goods movement reference (GMR) from the Goods Vehicle Movement Service.

The core services of the Goods Vehicle Movement Service will be available. You will still be able to enter and validate Customs Declaration Service (CDS) and New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) declarations to obtain a goods movement reference during this downtime.
